For those who don’t know – this is my new site! This has been a work in progress for quite a while, so it’s a little strange to me that it actually exists. I’ve been so excited for this to be a reality that I held off on blogging a bit – such as this wedding, which happened last August. Never too late though!
Alena & Ed were married at Camp Wing overlooking the pond. I adore these two and loved every minute of their wedding. I had photographed Alena’s brother’s wedding almost two years before at the African Meeting House and Charles River Museum of Industry. When Alena & Ed booked the camp and solidified their date, they called me as they were driving away and immediately booked me as well. I may have blushed while sitting at my desk.
These two knew each other as kids. They’re parents went to the same college and over the years would get their families together. Theirs wasn’t a childhood romance, but one that came to them later in life. Their story is one of my favorites of how a couple found each other. Tears were everywhere that day – including my own eyes.
Thank you to Alena & Ed for having us there to celebrate. Happy (almost) One Year Anniversary!
We had the pleasure of working with Phebe of Making Me Events on this wedding.
Alena & Ed choreographed their own first dance, and it was one of the best we’ve seen. I’ve had their song on a mix ever since – “Where I Sleep” by Emeli Sandé.
